Jazz Dance (4th-8th grade)

Jazz technique, such as pirouettes (turns) and leaps and also gain flexibility. The pace of the class will be upbeat and fun. Anna is a very popular and fun teacher with youth all over the Peninsula. Students will also learn a Jazz routine. Learning these styles will give these dancers unique skills and confidence while having fun! Kids will learn to kick, leap, sweat, spin, and point every week through the Spring! Express yourself through your own movement. They will improve their technique and self-confidence. Sports coaches even recommend dance training to aid in agility and coordination. Grab a friend and sign up!

Anna has over 25 years’ experience teaching fitness and dance.   She is trained in Jazz Dance, Ballet and Tap and was a professional dancer for 5 years. She had the privilege to train and perform on dance teams with some famous dance instructors including ballet with Marguerite Phares, jazz and tap with Pepper Von, Ron Cisneros, George Jayne and Alice Faye. After retiring from performing, Anna continued to teach dance in dance studios in Sacramento, San Diego, and Hawaii. She returned to the Bay Area in 1997 and has been teaching at various studios throughout the Bay Area.
